Planning on travelling around Italy in July. Will stop by in Verona for 2-3 days, not sure yet. What's better, staying at a b&b in the city centre, near Lake Garda or any other more interesting spot to see as a tourist who depends on public transport. I also want to go to Canevaworld Theme Park. Is it worth seeing? Any suggestion on cheap but good b&b's in the verona province? Thanks

"Ciao! If you are used to the theme parks in the states, Canevaworld will be a dissappointment for you as it is very small. Verona is a very nice town. Do you plan on drving while you are here in Italy?"
Genius Cook :
"If you have to depend on public transport then your best bet to stay in Verona proper. I'm quite sure you'll find a B&B or a place at the Youth Hostel. Public transporttaion is pretty good here and Verona is is a great location: 1.5 hours from Venice & same from Milan. See Verona's Arena and stroll its park along the river. Avoid the theme park - unless you go with a group of freinds to have fun. Visit Garda rfor sure.... you'll find bus service close to the train station."

The location of Verona is in Italy right? I was watching Romeo and Juliet and was trying to figure out about Verona and it's location.

Jake L :
"Correct. 'In fair Verona, where we lay our scene...' It is in Italy."

Hello All !! I am going to be turnig 16 On October 31. Of course, there is one thing that every 16 yr old wants, a car!!! As my first car I am thinking of a Suzuki Verona Ex. Can anyone who owns one or have had the pleasure of driving one give me there opinion on the Vehicle. I am mainly interested in the acceleration and reliability. Please Help Thanks Everyone!!!

beavanjb :
"You posted and deleted this same question last week, not sure why? Anyway, Verona is a good car with solid acceleration, nothing special or detracting about the car. Pretty much all new cars have excellent reliability until their warranty lapses, but Suzuki is known to be good beyond the 1st 50,000 miles. Since you are a new driver we can only hope your car makes it to 50K miles. If you are lucky your first accident will only be a minor 1 or 2!_! Every 16 year old I've known (myself included) got into at least 1 if not several accidents in their first 2 years of driving. So please wear your seatbelt and be careful! With that in mind, if your pops is giving you $20,000 for a car you might want to get a 3 year old car for $10K and put the other $10K into a CD at the bank for your college fund. Edit, thanks for the PM, might have helped if you had mentioned you were looking at the 2004 model , looks like it's one of the worst cars on the road."
Eldo :
"STOP! NO! Don't DO IT! Is that clear enough? :) I used to be a Suzuki tech and the Verona was a bust. The engineering department really blew it on this car and even when running properly the car is a time bomb. I replaced several motors on cars that had under 30K miles on them! I don't suggest buying ANY Suzuki, but that particular one is VERY bad."

According to a study at the University of Verona in Italy, when a woman regularly wears stiletto heels, they, quote, “directly work the muscles which are linked to a [climax].”

"We were operating in the farmland outskirts of Anu al-Verona, acting on a tip one of the local Sheiks had provided us about a new family in his area possibly housing insurgents. Through the eyes of a green lieutenant, everything looked about as normal as an Iraqi hellhole can look. They didn’t exactly cover what happened next in ROTC, you know?"

We flimed this great holiday package. Visit Italy's leading opera venues at both Milan's famous La Scala and the open-air Verona Roman Arena.

Jan. 18, 2008 -- Thousands of scribbled amorous words, hearts, arrows and intertwined initials have been removed this week from the walls of Juliet's house in Verona, Italy, in a radical clean-up of the 13th century structure that is believed to have inspired William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet."
