I'll be travelling to Udaipur in the month of December. I'm travelling from Mumbai to Ahmedabad in the Shatabdi Express which reaches Ahmedabad in the afternooon at around 01:30 PM. I wish to get on a bus to Udaipur in the afternoon such that i can reach Udaipur in the evening. Can anyone provide me with the details of the Bus Service which is available from Ahmedabad to Udaipur in the afternoon.

"I know you want to take a bus, But I would suggest you to rent a car for back and fro visit. It will cost you around same but if you rent a car, you can go as you please you are not restricted to the bus timing. And you can visit beautiful places on the way to Udaipur too."
Am planning a holiday in Udaipur and want to know if the lakes are dry like last year or if the monsoon rains have filled them up? Is it worth visiting Udaipur in the coming month?

"Fateh Sagar lake is always filled with the water. The water level goes up and down on account of monsoon. However, this year Udaipur received sufficient rain water and the lake is full. I suggest you visit during Dussehra season."

how long does it takes to travel from udaipur to jodhpur by road ? are there good luxury buses during the day ? can somebody guide me
"please use a map,and there is lots of bus service,private as well as government."
"Its about 180 miles as the crow flies. I had a private car and driver and we made it in about 6 hours but we were stopping and looking at the sights etc. Lots of quality bus companys but I think that I might try the train on this one if I was to do it again. Have fun!"
