Tortola - British Virgin Islands

Tortola is the largest and most populated of the British Virgin Islands, a group of islands which form part of the archipelago of the Virgin Islands. Local belief is that the name was originally given to the island by Christopher Columbus, meaning "land of the Turtle Dove".

What are the best snorkeling spots in the BVI? I am going to be on Tortola, Jost Van Dyke and Virgin Gorda. Also - heard anything about to the full moon parties?

"[... sound of chirping crickets here ...]"
kkbaby :
"Some of the best snorkling spots in the BVI are around Normal Island such as - The Caves at Norman Island - Spy Glass Also Carrot Shoals which is off of Peter Island which has a very pretty black coral reef. However one of the best dive and snorkling sites have to be the R.M.S Rhone. This is a sunken ship that has become a tourist attraction in the BVI. Snorkling and Diving around it is truly a experience to remember. The full moon parties at Bomba Shack is very fun. There are also exciting full moon parties at Trelis Bay in Tortola. But Bomba Shack is still my favorite for the local music and entertainment."
