Kathleen :

I am planning on going to Montana soon. Anything I should see??

Michael M :
"wide open spaces."
NYC fan :
"Glacier National Park is one place I strongly recommend. Also, since a tiny bit of it spills over into Montana, I'll add Yellowstone. Which part of Montana? It's a very large state. What kinds of things are you looking to do?"
Montana me :
"Fist visit Montana's offical site for visitors: and sign up for a free Montana vacation planning kit at this site: As state above, Montana is a big state. There's lots to see - but also a lot of road to travel and winters comming."
dntuwnt2knw :
"Everything you possibly can, there is no place in the world like it. I was just out there for a week in August and really didn't plan anything. I enjoyed myself just walking around and seeing the wildlife, the mountains....amazing. Definately take a ride up a mountain on a 4-wheeler!"
laseykay :

are you from montana?? im from montana!!!

daniellesoda :
"nope"
AG :
"No I'm from New Jersey. The capital of Montana is not Hannah"
Adam S :
"no sir that was random"
Pens :
"No, but I was there once. Wasn't he a QB for the 49ers?"
Mike :
"Yes, a Native American reservation in Montana. We haven't had much snow in recent years, either sun flares or global warming. Do you want to know some cool places? Glacier Park and Yellowstone Park from July-August. Wintertime Bridgerbowl has some of the toughest downhill skiing in the US. I love the hot springs, such as Fairmont Hotsprings. If you want to live some place inexpensive you can find a home 3bdrm home built in the 80s for not much. If you want retail business space, you can get it extremely cheap in the midsize Montana cities. Eastern Montana is wide open prairie, rolling hills, rivers, wild life, and farms. The Jordan area is the least populated part of the lower 48 states, and the land is scenic. The great thing about Montana is that it is the middle of nature. There has been a cultural trend for people to give up property ownership and move the big cities' concrete jungles, expensive rent, and constant working class rush. Extremely wealthy corporations, like McDonalds, seem to have bought up a lot of farm land in Oregon. This is extremely sad. Also some city folk are trying to buy up farmers here to make a massive wildlife refuge.... These morons need to grow up in reality."
Montana me :
"Yes, I am from Montana!"
igirl2222 :
"YES!!! Represent!!!! I've lived here all my life. <3 Montana :)"
hlr :
"I recently moved outta there....after three years...too bad theres no money there or I might have stayed."
I'm the man! :

Tell me a little about it. -Are the people warm, polite, friendly? -What is it like to visit or live there? -What is there to do (Salt Lake City and statewide) -Is it as beautiful as it is reputed to be? -How warm does it get there in the summer?

4x4 :
"sorry all i know is Joe Montana."
LeRoy :
"where men are men and sheep run scared! I don't know too much about it."
Montana Skye :
"Sorry, don't know! I am Montana Skye. Cool name? I like how it sounds."
Penny Mae :
"Never been there but heard it is nice."
Tek :
"it's very friendly and the people are warm and polite it's beautiful here..peaceful, no crime, no smog, just a lot of nature salt lake city is in Utah dear lol more beautiful than you can imagine..ya'll come visit now ya'hear it gets very warm in the summer, that's why it's called summer ;o)"
yellowstone34 :
"Montana is a great place to live or visit. I moved here 10 years ago and wouldn't dream of moving away. The people are very friendly. They say there is no such thing as a stranger here in Montana. Billings is the biggest city with just over 100,000 people. Though, Billings isn't in the prettiest part of the state. Missoula, Bozeman and Kalispell are the bigger cities in MT(over 50 k pop) that are in the best parts of MT. Summer in MT can be quite warm with a few days over 100, but it usually cools down nicely at night. A good percentage of residents don't have air conditioners.....though I'm not one of them! It takes a little while to get used to the lifestyle here...it's a much slower pace, but once you're here you won't want to leave."
tanalady :
"Montana will take your breath and your heart away and you will find it hard to ever leave. And if you leave, you will most likely find your heart will lead you back. There's not much more beautiful than Montana if you like clean air and mountains."
