Magaluf is a major holiday resort on the Spainish island of Majorca primarily catering for the British package holiday market. Magaluf is in the municipality of Calvià and is situated within a group of towns, primarily Torrenova and Palma Nova. The city is also known as shagaluf to many of the "younger" generation. Hi guys Im a 21 year old lad and im going to magaluf next month, I was wondering whats the dress code for bars and clubs at a night time
"Theres not a dresscode for clubs n pubs out there. u can go in with shorts and sandals etc........ they dnt care really"
"Dresscode / magaluf? Ha Ha Ha Ha Jeans, shorts, trainers, sandals, Tshirts , shirts. (not all at once though) If you are going to BCM's find out in advance if there is a foam party as you dont wanna wear decent outfit that night. The best thing you can wear in Magaluf is condom!!!"

me and my mates are going to majorca in july, we want a holiday with a nice beach lively nightlife and clubs with good shopping we all under 21 so want a fun holiday, we didnt know wether to stay in magaluf or palma nova as if we stayed here we could go into magaluf for good nightlife and back to palma nova to get some sleep. what do you think what is magaluf and palma nova like never being to any so need some advicex
"Better to get the section right - this is the Greek section and the last I heard Magaluf/Palma Nova was under the Spanish section. I went there when I was 19 (many years ago) for a winter holiday - I had the strangest time - too weird night life in winter .... too many drugs going around which I am VERY 'anti' .... The strange thing was my friend and I were stripped searched at Donnington - East Midlands airport for suspicion of drugs .... As we are/were so anti drugs it was the strangest thing to happen - the officials said they'd found traces in out bags!!!! said could have been there from 'business cards/leaflets/ etc - everything that was handed to us over that time to advertise bars!!! So my advice is don't collect anything from bars!!!!!!! Very unpleasant experience!"
"What a surprise! They moved Majorca to Greece did they? I did not read anything about it in the news. Will the Greeks change its name? Regardless, when it was in Spain for me Palma Nova was a better place to stay."
