I am going this summer to Kumasi, Ghana, and also will be spending some time in Accra. If you have been to either of these places, tell me about your experiences there! How hot will it be in May and June? What are the people like? etc etc

ny_magazine :
"I've not been to Ghana yet, but you may want to try this site: Hope this helps, Kaya"
Barbzzz37 :
"Hi! I live in Ghana, right now in Tema but for a long time in Accra and spent some time in Kumasi. Check out trip advisor for a lot more info. I am (blushing) the local expert, and have addressed this in there. Barb"
Phy A :
"you are sure of a wonderful experience but extremely careful with your personal effects when you go to Kumasi.Con men and women are common in Kumasi especially.Just be cautious and take all precautions whilst away from home. The weather is warming around May,June till September ending.Avoid skimpy clothes no matter how hot the weather maybe. The culture of Ghana frowns at it and you will compromising your safety. Safe journey."
aqualovr1 :

♥sweetie♥ :

i will have to go to Kumasi from Milan, do i have to fly on Accra and take an internal flight? How are those flights?

luca l :
"yes"
confused :
"I lived in Ghana for four years and left December 2005 (was back there in April 2006 though for a month) and the flights to Kumasi appear to be back on - there were a couple of years they were not operational. The flights (I think there are at least 2 to 3 return flights a day Accra-Kumasi-Accra) are OK, safe and regular, many people use them. But you would have to fly into Accra and from there to Kumasi. Happy travels!"

At exactly 17:00 GMT, all soccer enthusiasts’ eyes will be directed to the Baba Yara Stadium ground in Kumasi to witness a clash of two major African powerhouses battling it out. It's a match between the mighty Pharaohs (Egypt) and the Indomitable Lions (Cameroon), kicking off Group C.
