I'm going to be Camping in Killarney Provincial Park in Ontario (Canada) very shortly. I was just wondering if anyone who has been there before has seen a bear(s) there? Please share any experiences.

Thomas :
"Yes"
scubabob :
"It's a nice park. You'll love it. Yes, there are black bears roaming around. I've camped up there twice and both times have seen them, especially on the trail up to OSA Lake. For the most part they are harmless, just bear proof your site and carry a whistle with you, when hiking, to let them know you're there."
canadasukscock :
"Watch out for that big gay bear "sukadikbob"....he recentlly came out of the closet and is looking for any canadian penis out there...."
Stacey M :
"I have camped there a couple of times......you may encouter bears, I haven't yet personally, but I am very diligent when it comes to bear proofing my site. Hang the food, cook away from site etc etc. You shouldn't have much to worry about if you do the same."
superstar dj :
"No, but a man was unfortunately killed there last year camping on a big flat rock. The rock was struck by lightning and it travelled into him. The others in the group were not lying down and were not harmed!"

I would like to have a second wedding for my 5 year anniversary in Killarney. I would like something simple and small but very memorable. Can anyone recommend a place we could do this? It doesn't have to be at a church necessarily. We would most likely go to a pub after to celebrate, unless anyone has any ideas. I have been there for 2 days in 2004 and fell in love with the town. I didn't get to see the Ring of Kerry though. Any thoughts would be great. Sites would be great too. thanks.

angela b :
"There are so many places where you can hold your 5 year anniversary celebration.I lived in Killarney for 14 years and for my first 5 years there I worked as a waitress through a company where I would work at all the hotels for weddings when hotels needed extra staff. Do you want your celebration held in town or on the outskirts say Muckross or Fossa for instance. Are you also wanting to stay the night where you celebration is to be held?Do you have a set budget, and how many people are you catering for?If your wanting a pub for your celebrations,do you want a busy pub where there might be music?A pub that you can get part of the pub set aside for your use?Or are you wanting a quite pub?If you like you can email me and I can help you at least to narrow down all your options.Take care."

Independence Day reminds us of the shocking cost of violence. The opposite is also true, and Ireland models precisely how peace acts as the harbinger of prosperity. Recently, I spoke to the head of Transportation in Killarney, and the conversation turned to differences between Ireland and America’s prosperity at the moment.

Yesterday I saw unique motivation in Killarney, Ireland, as two border collies raced up and down the side of a steep hill to round up several brands of sheep. It dawned on me that motivation is not a magical instinct - but it can be learned by any who apply a few tactics. The dogs showed how it works.

I had half a day to waste in Killarney, so I headed uptown toward the historic district. I had spotted an oldChurch in Killarney church with a giant spire in the distance, and had snapped a picture from way off, but I was sure that a more interesting shot could be found up close...
