Hurricane :

hey friends.i want to be an erasmus student and Granada University is the only uni. that i can prefer in Spain so i will be very appreciated if you give me some info about Granada University. Are the lectures english or spanish? is accomadiation is a problem for exchange students? and what is the cost of living in Granada? please tell me what you know.. Thanks spanish fellas...

"Ok, not from Spain, myself, but I lived there when I was in University. (I lived in Sevilla). I'm gonna guess that the University is entirely (except for advanced English classes) taught in Spanish. There wasn't a single professor in Universidad de Sevilla (my classes were about Spanish) that I came across who taught (or for that matter, knew anything about) English. I would expect that the English studies professors would be proficient, but that's all. I know there are a lot of exchange programs that are based in Granada, and you should have little trouble finding lodging. You would look for an apartment or a 'Residencia' which is like a boarding house. Economy in Spain is pretty strong these days, the Euro is high, and inflation is a challenge. A lot depends, of course, on what money you will be bringing with you . The $US is really low, so expenses are pretty high for US citizens. Try checking out Sí Spain website for up to date info. are also pretty good websites. And try these - (official website of the school itself) Best of luck to you."

Has anyone ever been to Granada, Spain? Did you like it? What is the best part/places to go? Is it good for teenagers? I heard very hot weather but a pretty landscape.... What do you think of Granada??

Barkley Hound :
"I was there a few year ago on a tour of Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. Be sure to see the Alhambra. The Alhambra is a palace and fortress complex of the Moorish monarchs of Granada, in southern Spain, occupying a hilly terrace on the south-eastern border of the city. It was the residence of the Muslim kings of Granada and their court, but is currently a museum exhibiting exquisite Islamic architecture."
maj-len :
"Granada is just great with it´s architecture, the palace Alhambra for instance is just a thing you must see. The landscape is just great. I don´t think you would like to stay for long in Granada as you are a teenager, but I still recommend that you visit Granada at least for one day.You will never forget it. There are so many other parts to see in Spain, also near Granada, ask a tourist agency for instance. Good luck."
