Rebecca :

Where is the closest airport to Dordogne in France?

stephane m :
"Bergerac"
marcus l :
"Yup, Bergerac. It's actually in the Dordogne. (The Dordogne is a whole department/county named after the river Dordogne btw). Other airports near to the Dordogne are Limoges and Bordeaux."
franc :

My dad went canoeing on the Dordogne near Bergerac and said he could see the bottom and that the average depth was only 3' (1m) Not that I doubt my dad, but that seems strange for such a long, wide river. The same question applies to the rivers Lot and Garonne in the South West of France

john k :
"The river arises on the flanks of Puy de Sancy in the mountains of Auvergne and flows west for 300miles before it joins the Gironde river, Bergerac is about 50 miles from the mouth of the river and is shallow in places especially in the gorges or steep valleys. In places the river can be 20 feet or more deep."

Have procured a deal to sell properties in the Limousin and Dordogne. One property has been listed: The most amazing and cheap Riding School situated in the Chalus area. (Place of the death of Richard the Lion heart) My website is certainly attracting attention. Good I hope! But still learning! At last getting good rankings and feedback. Plus links
