Discussion on Disneyland

Bailey :

hey! this is a pointless question... but i was wondering. i'm going to disneyland this december (22-27) 2007, and i was wondering if my trip there would overlap anyone elses. in other words, anyone going to disneyland this christmas? if not, anyone got any other fun holiday plans?

Serial Mom :
"Sorry, I'm not a fan of the mouse. So have signed a pledge that I'll stay away from all things Disney. Hope you all have a wonderful time and Merry Christmas!"
c_bradley31 :

I'm going to Disneyland Paris with my college next week, and I wanted to know if there are any good bars/clubs/resturants within walking distance just outside of disneyland? Thanks in advance!

*simona* :
"Hmm, u r going to Disney and u want to go to bar? Well u have Planet Hollywood, that's right in Disney!!!"
dianaparisian :
"Only Planet Hollywood on site. There are probably some small pubs in the small town down the street."
sotires :
"Disneyland is so far out from central Paris! I doubt you'll be able to get to any good places. Certainly not in walking distance. It's in the middle of nowhere."
Ellie A :

i am going to disneyland and i am going for two days. i went once already but i want to know some fun rides that are from disneyland and california adventure .thanks

ck :
"indiana jones, splash mountain, the other mountain, pirates of the caribbean, the haunted mansion"
Mrknowitall :
"I am a pro at Disneyland....I go about 3 times a year. Here is my strategy.. -Go directly to indiana jones, get the fast pass, because its a long wait otherwise. -Go to pirates of the caribbean, always a short wait, even if the line looks really long. - Go to haunted mansion - Go to the big thunder mountain - Watch the show at the golden horse shoe(check times) - Go to indiana jones - Get a fast pass at space mountain, because that ride takes forever too - then fill in that time doing other things, you should do Splash mountain and the matterhorn is ok if its working. My big 3 things would be though, Space mountain, Splash mountain, and Indiana Jones...and the show at the horseshoe is pretty entertaining and funny if you haven't seen it. Disney California is kinda bleh, went there once, that roller coaster by the water/lake, and Tower of terror is what i remember, which are both good. The Alladin show is also something you should see, good show. Oh and remember that you can get another fast pass between the times designated on the card, you don't have to wait until you get on the ride or that time is up."
Jmac :
"California Adventures is an interesting place right now... The only real rides you should check out are Soarin over California, Tower of Terror, and California Screamin. Those three are a must, but everything else is just a 'Meh' reaction to me. The atmosphere in the Boardwalk area is something to check out, but it is under heavy construction and will hinder the experience. Disneyland you NEED to see and ride everything below: Matterhorn Splash/Big Thunder/Space Mountains Indiana Jones Pirates of the Caribbean Jungle Cruise Autotopia Haunted Mansion Finding Nemo Sub Ride If your really into the Themed rides like I am, then you would want to check out any of the indoor dark rides like Alice in Wonderland, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and all those fun little rides in Fantisyland. Disneyland has so much to check out, its best to spend half a day in California Adventures, and the rest in Disneyland."
Nicole S :
"Well I go to Disneyland about every week so I think I can help you. Keep in mind that fast passes are your friend. You can breeze through some of the longest lines if you get a fastpass for that ride at the right time. Usually you can get them closer together in the morning. And you don't have to use the fastpass during the time it says on the ticket. You can use it pretty much anytime after the start time. I usually start with tomorrow land and go from there. I would get a fastpass for Space Mountain then go onto Buzz lightyear astroblasters and star tours. If the lines aren't busy in fantasy land then Matterhorn and Peter Pan are definitely rides to hit. There is that new ride Finding Nemo but if you don't get to go to Disneyland often then I wouldn't waste three hours in line for it. If the lines about 45 minutes then it' definitely worth it. The lines shortest at night near closing or during parades. Hopefully you can get a new fast pass by the time you get to adventureland and get one for indiana jones. Jungle Cruise is always fun too. You cant go to disneyland without going on Pirates so make time for that. Also make sure you get onto Haunted mansion. depending on your time you will want to do splash mountain and big thunder mountain. Fast passes if you can because the lines are usually long. Then theres always places to visit when you want to take a break from rides, such as Big Thunder Ranch and Tom Swayer Island which has been newly redone to add a pirates lair to it. I don't know if you were looking for an answer for the food portion of your visit but I strongly recommend Carnation Cafe, Hungry Bear Restaurant and Rancho Del Zocalo. As for California Adventures. You definitely want to hit Soaring over California, California screaming, and Tower of Terror. While your there check out the animation building in the Hollywood back lot area, It's a lot of fun. I'm not sure you were looking for this long of an answer or if you even read this but I hope I helped."
Kris :
"Disneyland, some of my favorites: Pirates of the Carribean* AstroBlasters Indiana Jones* Space Mountain* (you should get a fast pass for this since it takes a LONG time to wait in line) Mad Tea Party Big Thunder Mountain Railroad * Splash Mountain* Matterhorn Haunted Mansion* The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage (since it just came out, there's always a long, long wait for this) "Innoventions" is also pretty cool to look around for a little while You should also definitely catch the Fireworks show at night! California Adventure: Soaring over California Ferris Wheel (forgot the name)* Giant Orange Swings (forgot the name to that too) California Screamin* Tower of Terror* Monster's Inc Ride Maliboomer Mulloholland Madness* "A Bug's Life" and the boardwalk is also really fun to visit and just walk and look around :) * the ones I love the most"
Cookie Bandit :
"Here are the rides you should go on early in the morning to avoid lines: Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain, Matterhorn, Space Mountain. Indy, Splash and Space all have Fastpasses, so you could ride it and then get an FP for a 2nd ride later. Other rides you shouldn't miss: Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, It's a Small World, Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters, Jungle Cruise, Teacups I would strongly suggest to head towards Adventureland as soon as you enter Disneyland. Most people head down Main Street towards Fantasyland."
Krillinish :
"I am a former Annual Passholder, so I've gone tens of times in the last year. Many people haven't mentioned another MUST at California Adventure-- the Aladdin show! This is a must see at DCA, otherwise you've wasted your money. Other obvious things to do at DCA: -Soarin' Over California (might want to do Fast Pass for this one) -Tower of Terror (always a short line, ride while waiting for a Fast Pass) -California Screamin (consider Fast Pass) -Grizzly River Run (if it's hot) Another neat thing to do is go into the Animation building and learn to draw a Disney character. The parks are more than just about rides and shows. As for Disneyland, do all the normal stuff: -Indiana Jones -Pirates -Space Mountain -Splash Mountain (definite do Fast Pass, or consider splitting up into single riders) -Haunted Mansion -Matterhorn -Big Thunder (if it's not broken down, yet again) -Jungle Cruise (okay, it's just my personal fave) Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage was fun for me, but not a guaranteed "worth the wait" ride for some people."

In the early 1960’s Walt Disney began developing plans for a mansion using secrets of the magic trade to create illusions of ghosts and spirits.

I am sure everyone has seen the Disney Channel before. How could anyone grew up without seeing Disney? Since I was a little kid, I always wanted to go to Disneyland and meet all the characters there. It would be great to see it with my own eyes, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Minnie, and many more! My daughter loves the Lion King
