Antigua (pronounced /ænˈtiːgə/ an-TEE-gah) is an island in the West Indies, Leeward Islands in the Caribbean region, the main island of the country of Antigua and Barbuda. It is also known as Wadadli, which means approximately "our own". The island's circumference is roughly 87 kilometres (54 miles) and its area 281 km² (108 square miles). Its population is about 69,000 as of July 2006. I was asked often recently - what is there to do in Antigua?The biggest claim to fame is it has is 365 beaches, one for everyday of the year. My favorite beach is Dickenson Bay. Besides swimming, snorkeling, diving and all the water sports, you have some interesting sites to visit...
