joe :
"Distance is 943 kilometers or 586 miles or 509 nautical miles. That was however base on the Capital of Aruba is very much the seat of much activities for the ABC islands. "
crev8 :

"http://www.edenbeach.com/ I'm not sure how they faired during hurricane season, so you may want to drop them a line, or give them a call!"

I'm going to Bonaire on a scuba holiday and was wondering if I should wait until I get there to buy my scuba gear. Please try to state your source.

smartcook1e :
"I'd buy it in the UK - at least you can be sure that you will get everything you need, and won't have any problems with guarantees."
scubabob :
"Try before you buy. It's best to do your shopping at home, it'll be cheaper than a tourist destination and there won't be any unexpected surprises in your gear as you'll have tried it out before the trip. I know that'll mean lugging that gear around on arrival at Bonnaire, but you'll have to do some lugging anyway on return. You'll have better after purchase support for that gear as well."

You can bring, rent, buy or ask for anything you need to make your scuba diving experience more enjoyable. Novice or pro divers all enjoy the Bonaire Marine Park, the only one of it's kind in the world. Everything from the high water mark to a depth of 200 feet around the island is a natural, protected reef and marine park.

One cannot talk about the top scuba diving spots in the world without talking at great length about Bonaire. Voted as being one of the top four scuba diving locations in the world, Bonaire has led the way in marine preservation in the Caribbean and, thus, is home to some of the most breathtaking, pristine, and unharmed corals in the world.
