Me and my family have decided to relocate to Atlanta. Can anybody give me information on some real estate websites...etc. Also how is it there and what are some good towns, cities around Atlanta that are good to move to? Thanks

"Well, Atlanta is a LOST city. No one can find it and people have tried many times to find and no luck. I think I heard that there was gold or something there and whoever finds it will become REALLY rich. Maybe do a Google search on Atlanta and see what you get. I wish I could find it."
southarkansas :
"atlanta is huge need to pin point an area"
Soundless :
"I strongly suggest the area located west of Atlanta. You can move to Douglas or Haralson or Carroll Counties. You have Douglasville in Douglas County Bremen in Haralson County and Carrollton, Villa Rica, and Temple in Carroll County Bremen High School is one of the top in the state for their size. The sports teams at all the schools are very good. Check out the schools web sites. Carrollton High School Central High School Temple High School Villa Rica High School All of these in Carroll County Bremen High School is in Haralson County Haralson County is also in Haralson County Douglas County High School is in Douglas County You can live outside Atlanta and enjoy more of a small town atmosphere, but live close enough into the city to enjoy all the "city life". A good website for real estate is Hope I helped at least a small amount."

"Try to locate yourselves somewhere near work or at least on the same side of town. Doing so will save you the time and energy of suffering the traffic!"

"Dunwoody, Peachtree City, and Roswell made the cut for Money magazine's annual "Best Places to Live" list. Rankings are based upon cities with the highest median income and above average population growth. Dunwoody ranked the highest, at #12 for the Eastern region. Peachtree City was next at #17, and Roswell came in at #19. "
Crystal H :
"Try Craigslist.org and Ajc.com.......Marietta, Duluth, Midown, Roswell, Alpharetta, Snellville and Dunwoody are pretty nice areas to stay in."
kingcrab2879 :
"live VERY VERY close to your job! TRUST ME! traffic is terrible in this town."

My wife, and 3 daughters are moving to North Atlanta from Maryland in the summer. We need all the help we can get. I need to make sure we do this the right way. Any advice, suggestions, websites, or anything that points un in the right direction will help.

Jadie :
"It really sucks. you should save your money and go else where in the south like norh carolina, or south carolina, any where in the south. why does atlanta come to mind to every person in other states. trust me it's not as cracked up as you would think. I'm getting the hell out of here. THIS PLACE IS SOOOO HYPED UP AND OVERATED. it's your choice"
hasdad62 :
"You probally want to go to to find what you want. Or if you are home searching, the other link is a good one. Or if you are looking for things to do, the Atlanta Magazine will help too. And, you also probally want to ignore the narrow minded poster above. Atlanta is a great town with lots of great opportunities!"
MISSY :
"I'm going to agree with your first reply."
zuly_c :
"Atlanta is a nice place to live, specially the North part. Check out the ajc.com for information about schools, neighborhoods. Also, you can get this book "Newcomer's Handbook for Moving to And Living in Atlanta". It has all the information you need about weather, counties, neighboorhoods, moving, utilities, etc. plus attractions and things to do. I found it very useful. I got it when I move down here two years ago."

For those of you in Metro Atlanta, do you know of a club I can go to where bands perform music in the style of Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, Dizzy Gillespie, etc ? I want to take my wife to a club where the men wear suits, and women wear dresses. Not modern jazz music.
