Sunny G :

With recent reports of India's econamy being the world's second fastest growing one, Mumbai , Delhi, Bangalore, and even Noida, and Guragon have seen a huge change already or are going to see huge changes in their skylines. Do you think Amritsar will be in this skyscraper "boom?" Since Amritsar is such a big hub now, examples being the International Airport thas has growed so much and still growing, and the Rs. 3,150 Crore modernization plan. And recent reports do say that it is a hot spot for investors, and projects for luxary penthouse and hotels are under plans. If you think Amritsar will get skyscrapers, then how big will they be and will they be used for housing, or business?

unsilly one :
"Indeed I think it will change. More businesses."

Amritsar Airport is booming, with a proposed metro lines, connecting the city centre, and other important links, and a line to Chandigarh, and other cities, you can say its a Tokyo Narita Airport in the making. Lately, we've seen cities like, Delhi Mumbai Kolkata Vienna New York Dubai London Toronto Birmingham Moscow and more cities being served by this airport, what other cities do you think will be served by this airport. Also mentioned was Air India, saying they are studing the Vancouver-Amritsar-Vancouver and San Fransico-Amritsar-San Fransico routes, so this Airport is changing and it's happening fast. SO once again what other cities do you think will be served by this airport in the near future?

Wolly :
"There were flights operating between 21Oct.06 and 31 Mar.07 to Cologne-Amritsar-Cologne(Germany). There are plans to start this route again in the next 3-4 months from now."

.......and starts on the return journey after 1 hr. On the way back it meets the auto at 2 pm. At what time the auto will reach Amritsar?

anilbakshi :
"let x be the diatance of station at cross-over at 10am speeds" bus vb, auto va: bus reached station at 1200Noon rested till 1 pm and met auto at 2pm x /2 = vb >>. x = 2 vb suppose they meet at x1 distance from 10 am cross-over time taken by bus till 2 pm cross = 1 = (x-x1) /vb so x - x1 =vb x1 = x -vb = 2 vb - vb = vb auto moved x1 (2pm crossover) in 4 hours (bus rested but auto moved) x1 / 4 = va >>> x1 = 4 va vb = 4 va va = vb / 4 auto is moving at one-fourth the speed of bus time taken by auto is four-times of bus in covering x distance to station : auto t-auto = 4 * t-bus (bus -12 noon - 10 am) = 8 hours or at 10am + 8 = 6 pm auto will reach amritsar ------------------------------ check if vb=32 km/hour then x=64 km va = 32 /4 = 8 km/h x1= 4 va = 32 km (x-x1) = 32 km ---------------- return: bus in 1 hour = 32 km (time for auto =4 hours) auto in 4 hours= 8*4=32 km"
Johanna P :
"i feel like some information is missing or too many assumptions need to be made. Does the bus reach Amritsar after an hour or does it reach it then wait an hour? Then at what time does it reach it? Either way there is not information"
Natarajan J :
"Info not sufficient Speed of the bus/auto(atleast one) not given? We can give answers with assumptions(speeds) as: The auto will reach by 3 PM The auto met the bus at Amritsar(by 2 PM) etc....."

Jalianwala Bagh in Amritsar has great significance in Indian history and this may be the reason behind converting this place in to a historical place. Everyday day thousands of people visit this place to pay tribute to freedom fighters who had given their lives at this place.
